this is the third GE microwave identical that I've had and it's going to be the last that all three have had the problem with the defrost cycle it acts like it's a regular cycle I near the first time I used it I just got it yesterday for defrost I nearly melted my that all three have had the problem with the defrost cycle it acts like it's a regular cycle and the first time I used it I just got it yesterday for defrost I nearly melted my toast crossed the lowest number two setting on the defrost Easter doing a slight warm up on number one and it worked in 24 seconds okay and the other thing it makes a huge popping noise it is so loud that actually jumped twice the first few times I used it as soon as you open the door it goes Clank I mean it's at least that loud very unappreciative I wish and I will never buy another and get talking to your robot when you try to call your company is a joke you can't get anywhere what she's doing what a joke you can't reach anybody and I'll never buy another one the one before this one only lasted for 4 years 4 years and 2 months the other one didn't match last much longer either the worst football do I'll do the video cant even upload a video of the loud pop on ope opening. it'll wake up everyone in the house!

Product is awful. Inconsistent with setting cook times. Door has to be closed loudly to make contact to cook. Sometimes it operates flawlessly and others can™€™t get it to cook at all. Totally inconsistent. Would never buy this product again.

Impressive Unit w/one User Fail

Purchased this primarily for trust in the GE Brand coupled together with the overall dimensions since there was an existing cabinet cut out. Ordered first unit through Amazon, received, unpackaged / unwrapped and proceeding to install. Once done, went to press the button to open the door and it would not engage. Tried multiple times, looked for a Manual, nothing. Assumed it was a mechanical defect, returned to Amazon, replaced with same unit. Process repeated and STILL WOULD NOT open! Looked closer and found a non-descript button which you needed a phillips head screwdriver to insert / twist in order to unlock the door! And guess what? Inside the cavity is where you find the Owners Manual....

This size is great for the foods we put in it. The controls are good. The feature to leave the buzzer sound off when it is finished is great. Because it means no disturbing noise when used early in the morning. The time for the instant 30 seconds or 1 to 6 minutes is great. The setting for power levels is efficient. We had this model which lasted for over five years but the last one died in less that a year. The warranty process was fairly easy to navigate.

I love the quality of a GE microwave. In 47 years I have only owned 3 all GE. They really last. I do miss some of the features my previous one has though, such as multiple auto select options. All in all, I expect to get a good 10 years service out of this one. It is a great size, actually seems extra large inside and very powerful at 1200 watts.

This is my second day with it, but am very pleased. I ended up with this one because inverter microwaves usually recieve mixed reviews, with some premature failures, which was my experience with my panasonic that I had. I will say, they shouldn't have the mechanical child safety lock activated from the factory. I thought something was wrong eith the door u til I read the user manual. This is the first time I had to read a manual to figure out how to open the door. Good thing is, it's super simple to disable! It has great power, it's a decent size, performs well so far, and is pretty neat overall! So far I recommend to someone looking g a microwave of this size and wattage!

The product works well when it works. It failed right after Warranty was over. Started with a sticky door switch, and now the magnetron has failed. I cannot believe GE is selling such bad quality products and getting away with it.

The cavity size is great for large items. It is easy to use and efficient. The controls are easy to read. The microwave is a little bigger, as expected, but I had the space for it. I have the black model and like that vs the white, which I previously had. The power is as expected and again is effective.

I was looking to replace a Sharp Carousel Microwave-Convection oven that served us well for over 30 years. I was no longer interested in the convection feature, so I went looking for the modern comparable capacity and power with a similar physical size. My search went to a trusted local dealer, Sohn's Appliance Center in Walden, NY. For size, capacity, power, and price I selected this unit from their website. A short visit to the store and I purchased this on August 30th. I picked it up today September 6 and got it set up easily. Unpacking was simple and quick. The classic control panel is easy to interface with. She works as would be expected for a GE unit with a smoothly rotating carousel and no excess noise. A solid purchase for my countertop Chef Mike needs.
