We love our new freezer. It™™s a large capacity which makes it easy to organize and find what you need. The lighting is exceptional. This is our 2nd Maytag freezer and we would highly recommend. They are dependable, have a great warranty, and are frost free.

Spacious interior with a bright light. Love the several shelves on the door. Delivered on time and set it up and leveled and removed our old freezer in a short time

We purchased our new Maytag freezer to replace a smaller older freezer. This seems like a nice solid freezer with nice shelves, lighting and plenty of space. I bought a few foldable, stackable organizing baskets that seem to work great. It's only been a week and everything is working great! I hope it lasts over 20 yrs like our old freezer!

Purchased at menards in lima ohio...the back feet are damaged...called manager at manners and he stated we should have unboxed and unwrapped while there to ck for damages..he would not send anyone to fix ot pick up...told us to bring back to store..never again!!!

I am disappointed with this 20 cu ft upright freezer. We™™ve had several freezers, mostly chest units, over many years and have gotten about 20 years use out of each one until this unit. When we purchased it I thought ™good, 10 year warranty on the compressor, it should last a while™. Now, less than 5 years old and the unit doesn™™t cool at all. As an HVAC tech I suspect the refrigerant charge as I can hear the refrigerant boiling more than normal but I am not set up for 134a so I™™m not going to check it myself. With service fees above $125/hr it isn™™t worth it to have someone tell me it™™s dead and if it is the compressor the labor to replace it is going to be a significant percentage of a new unit anyway as the warranty doesn™™t cover that. I am very disappointed in Maytag (not the first time either, but that™™s with another type of appliance). If they wanted to make their warranty worth anything it would have to cover the whole refrigeration circuit, not just the compressor. Buyer beware.

We bought this to replace a 10-year-old previous version of the same model. The first new unit was warped and had a defective seal, but after the dealer worked with Maytag support, it was replaced with the unit we have now. We have had no problems so far with the replacement unit.

Good freezer, good price, lots of room. The only thing lacking is a bottom drawer for meats,, etc. There is a short barrier meant to contain items from spilling out (or so I assume) but it is too short to be much benefit. That all being said, I would buy this again.

I started out loving it, but after a week it quit working. the temp inside started to rise. It tried to start but just kept making a clicking noise. I tried to call Maytag service but could not get through. I unplugged it for awhile and then plugged it back in and it finally started working. If it happens again I will return it and buy a different brand.

I purchased a Maytag deep freezer in January 2026, and it has been one of the worst appliance purchases I've ever made.
The freezer broke during the second week after I bought it. It was eventually repaired, but then it failed again just five months later. Because I had hundreds of dollars' worth of frozen food, I had to rent a smaller freezer for 30 days at a cost of $89.
I submitted a service request through the Maytag website. The first available appointment was the following Monday. I took time off work and waited all day, but no one showed up or called. When I contacted the service provider, I was told my appointment had been rescheduled without notifying me.
At the second appointment, I was told the technician would arrive with a fully stocked truck and be able to complete the repair. Instead, they arrived without the necessary part or the personnel needed to fix the freezer, so a third appointment had to be scheduled.
For the third appointment, the technician arrived 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. I was only 10 minutes away, but they refused to wait and left. We scheduled a fourth appointment, and the exact same thing happened again.
A fifth appointment was scheduled. Once again, I took time off work and waited. I wasn't given a service window, so I called to ask for an estimated arrival time. That's when I was told the appointment had been rescheduled yet again™"without informing me. At this point, I was facing a sixth appointment just to get a freezer repaired.
I contacted Maytag directly, hoping they would step in and resolve the situation. Instead, I was told I had to continue working with their service provider, even though the repeated scheduling failures were entirely on their end.
This has been an incredibly frustrating and time-consuming experience. I've lost work hours, paid out of pocket to rent another freezer, and spent months trying to get a nearly new appliance repaired. Based on the poor product reliability and even worse customer service, I will never purchase another Maytag product, and I cannot recommend them to anyone.

Very disappointed after getting it home for one reason. It's not the performance but rather the bottom storage. I didn't look closely during the buying process but there's no pull out bin for the bottom storage. It's just the plastic piece you see in the picture that kind of holds food placed in the bottom of the freezer back from falling on the floor. The funny thing is that there are "slides" that a pull out bin COULD sit on but there's no bin. Just that plastic piece that acts as kind of a fence holding whatever you place in the bottom back from falling on the floor. Wasted utility and not an optimum use of the bottom space. If we weren't 50 miles from where we bought it I would take it back for that very reason.

Purchased about a month ago and love how much space I have. Only recommendation would be to add a drawer in the very bottom vs the bar used to hold things in place. I feel like there's too much wasted space there. This one items shouldn't penalize a full star... but no other choices given.

I bought this last week to replace our 16 year old Frigidaire 21 cubic foot upright freezer. Which had nice deep shelves and drawers. This new freezer has no drawers, so when items are stacked with packages of frozen meats and they slide out. The drawers are too close, and need to be farther apart.the freezer shelves need to be deeper so packages don™™t slide out. It would of been nice to have actual drawers.

This new freezer replace a freezer which was over 50 years old and it was still running good. I hope this new freezer lasts just as long.
After installing, we loaded it up and it immediately cooled down and is running fine. We did purchase another shelf to better use the interior space.
It would be nice if it had a temperature sensor display and a door alarm.

I purchased this four years ago; first couple of years, worked ok. Since then, the top shelf will not totally freeze anything on it. It keeps icing up on the bottom vent and I believe that keeps the air from circulating and freezing the top shelf. I've lost meat and chicken due to this issue often. I've had to totally empty the freezer every few months now. It's hard to get good circulation on the bottom section as there is no rack to keep the bottom open....Disappointing!

Purchased a month ago through Costco. Didn't realize when purchased that it came with only 2 upper racks, greatly limiting organizing the freezer. Purchased an additional rack at just under $100. Still saved a bit under the full purchase price even with having to purchase the extra (gray not white) rack. Also lacked a pull-out bottom shelf.

Bou areght this on sale at a great price. Always figured Maytag was a great dependable brand. Like the shelving and door storage as stuff don't fall thru the door shelves. Also the rollers on the bottom makes it easy to move around. Much more efficient than my old one.

I™™ve had this freezer about a month now, works great. My biggest complaint are the leveling wheels. Aside from being covered by a plastic cover with an off size screw to make it difficult to remove, the levelers are too short. I™™m back to leveling using shims - not a one-man job. The inside plastic is not as substantial feeling as my last freezer. That one lasted for 25 years, I can only hope!

Bought this freezer 2 weeks ago to replace an old Commercial Frigidaire and boy I did not make a mistake. It™™s a big white cold box that does its job. Getting 500$ off was a bonus and good selling point but the freezer seems to be well made and am thankful for the 10 year warranty on the important parts

I purchased my upright freezer in October but it wasn't delivered until November. It kept everything well frozen for just over 3 months. Everything in it was defrosted and had to be disposed. Diamond repair came a week later and wii be back 2 weeks later to install part. (Condenser). Even if they get it running, I am not sure I will trust it again to keep everything frozen. I am beyond angry and word like it replaced.

My old freezer quit and I picked this one because it fit in my space and the brand name. I do think it has thicker walls for helping maintain the internal temperature and the shelves are easy to adjust. The basket on the bottom is smaller than my old one. There are slots in the door shelves that allow for air flow, but some smaller items can fall out.

I bought this 20 cu ft Maytag upright freezer to replace a Frigidaire 20 cu ft freezer that is 1 1/2 yrs. old and is now on its' 7th service call (under warranty) because it will not keep food frozen. Even though the Frigidaire is still under warranty, it has been a nightmare to unload all the meat, etc. each time a service tech from the Geek Squad comes out to work on it.
The new Maytag so far is working flawlessly!
