I bought my fridge in august 2026 and do really love it. Used to have one with the water/ice in the door but this one gives much more space inside the fridge. Having the water spout inside the fridge does take some getting used to. Downside is losing the freezer space with the ice maker inside the freezer but it does work well and just takes a little organization.

After having this new product, WRFF5333PW03, for two weeks, it stopped refrigerating and reached temperatures (according to the product itself) of 66 degrees after I had marginally stocked it the day before with marinated meat and two other perishables in anticipation for a party that weekend. The following day, it reached 74 degrees. A service request was logged by the retailer on the 66-degree day and Whirlpool service consultants came out five days later. My food was spoiled and my party was cancelled. It should be noted that if the kids and grandkids were visiting, I would have most likely discovered this issue on day two and not two weeks in. A replacement part was ordered and seven days later, it was installed. I tested the refrigerator to ensure that the product was working properly after the replacement part was installed.
The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and Whirlpool recommend setting the refrigerator at 37 degrees. Also, the USDA recommends that any perishable foods left in a refrigerator at or above 40 degrees for more than two hours be discarded to avoid exposure to dangerous and harmful bacteria. Additionally, variants between built-in refrigerator thermometers and independent thermometers typically run between 2 to 5 degrees depending on where the independent thermometer is placed.
I tested the refrigerator set at 37, 34, and 33 degrees in daily intervals (to allow 24 hours between each degree setting) and hourly intervals within each day. I found that the refrigerator did not cool to safe temperatures regardless of the set temperature tested (e.g., 37, 34, or 33). Additionally, the internal refrigerator temperature (measure by an independent thermometer) was 22% to 36% above the Whirlpool set temperature for prolonged periods of time (i.e., times in excess of two hours), enough to violate USDA recommendations for safe food storage temperatures.
My tests also showed that not only is the Whirlpool not cooling safely, the temperature readings in the Whirlpool itself were misleading and erroneous. There were significant, prolonged temperature variants between what the refrigerator temperature showed and what an independent refrigerator thermometer showed - some as high as a 36% variant difference above the Whirlpool temperature readings.
In conclusion, I do not recommend this product. The Whirlpool cannot be trusted to keep food cooled safely within USDA guidelines to prevent dangerous and harmful bacteria from growing and cannot be relied upon to accurately reflect internal refrigerator temperatures within acceptable temperature variants.

We are still waiting for delivery. It's been 2 months and Whirlpool keeps pushing back our date. Not sure how long we are going to wait before we cancel and go with another brand. We have been Whirlpool customers for over 45 years. Come on Whirlpool, get with it!

We have owned all Whirlpool appliances, however when we bought this fridge we were in a bit of a jam, every fridge we looked at was three plus months for shipping, because we needed white and a certain size. This was the only available option . The fridge itself is noisy , which has taken a little getting use to , the vegetable crispers are smaller , the deli drawer has the option of raising the lid or pulling out the drawer, definitely prefer the drawer. The fridge itself doesn™™t have as must storage space as our previous fridge and the water filter is in an awkward place losing room on the top shelf.
So for us, definitely not the best fridge we have ever purchased.

Looks Great. . The layout of the side doors is good you can fit gallon jugs. Cools as it should easy to use and visual for temperature control. Poorly designed water dispenser they have a button you have to push above versus below where you could just press with your cup. It it takes 30-60 seconds to fill 12 oz glasses probably not practical for large family. The doors in order to prevent the seal wearing out early. You really should open the right door first then the left door and then close it in the opposite manner left door first otherwise it pulls on the seal. If whirlpool was to do an improvement that would move the water dispenser to the right side so only one door has to be opened with the button to activate water below. Wish it had sliding shelf™™s that you can push in to get higher items in like they have on the 36 inch models
The full width temperature controlled draw for meet and cheese, Plastic seem like might not hold up in long run I have not figured out what how to set temperature for the drawer yet.
If it preform™™s like our old kitchen-aid meat drawer it is a game changer meat stays fresh 2 x as long, have not used long enough yet. ( one of the reasons I wanted this refrigerator)

When talking to Home Depot, Local appliance, Menards , Best Buy, noted whirlpool service was much better than some of the top rated brands in consumer reports.
I have had Whirlpool Washer Dryers, Dishwasher and Kitche-aid refrigerator, I have never had any problems with Service or help with part to replace if needed
Whirlpool is made in the USA , have not had to call then hopefully their service is still USA based

Our new Whirlpool refrigerator/frezer is doing a wonderful job and we enjoy using all its featuares. It does a good job of cooling and like te humidity feature for the drawers. The lighting is good and enjoy the roll out shelf at the bottom of the crisper drawers. I o wish it had a few more shelves in the doors.

I find that the refrigerator and freezer both work very well, I like the model and the capacity.
I would like to know why the refrigerator makes a whole series of strange noises - whining, chirping, clicking, gurgling, etc. I think there is something wrong with the waterline or the icemaker. I want this to be looked at and repaired if necessary BEFORE the warranty runs out. To whom do I speak about this, and what is the contact number?

Overall the refrigerator works well even though it's a bit smaller than my old one. I wanted a French door refrigerator with a bottom freezer, ice maker and water dispenser not in the door. Most of the other new refrigerators were way too big. It took about a week to get the shelves the way I wanted and the items stored in the doors to my liking. This would be with any new refrigerator. The ice maker works extremely well and makes ice faster than we can use it. We had condensation on the refrigerator doors but then turned on the Humidity control, it went away. A few cravats but not deal brakers. The vegetable bins are too small. We cannot fit a stalk of celery in the bin. The open door alarm needs to be louder, we could hear the one in our old refrigerator but not this one. Love the cold water dispenser, but why did you make it so you need two hands to use it? Put the button below the spout so you just have to push the glass on the button to get water. One hand. Would recommend this refrigerator/freezer.

Both crisper drawers fall out if pulled open too far and they are very small. The housing for the light in the refrigerator seems to be in the way for many of our items. Lowering the shelf then makes the next shelf too short in height. The freezer light only works when it wants to and the freezer drawer rail freezes so the drawer won't open.

I want American manufacturers to succeed, and try to support them whenever possible. However, I selected this brand and model mainly because it fit the size and features we needed, not because of its country of origin. While it keeps food cold (so far), I have been disappointed by several things from its delivery onward: First, I felt the packaging of the item (essentially just clear plastic wrap) was insufficient, as the fridge had several paint chips that had obviously been received during the shipment and delivery process. (I would have refused delivery because of those chips, but we needed a fridge fast and I didn't want to wait a week for a replacement. The retailer softened the blow a bit by offering a small credit, which I accepted.) I'm not thrilled by the way the front doors (don't) line up, and I see the owner's manual has a section on how to level them by adjusting some feet on the front corners. However, I'm concerned that if I do this the fridge will no longer roll back and forth, something that is important to me for service and cleaning of the fridge in the location where it is installed. I'm not happy with the sliding baskets in the freezer, one of which is extremely hard to remove (for cleaning), while the other appears to be permanently installed with no way to remove it, even with tools. I'm not pleased with the little "flipper strip" that sits between the two doors to create a seal when the doors are closed. It works fine if you close the left door first, and the right door simply sits up against the (now-flat) strip. But when you open and close the left door, there is a fair amount of resistance as the flipper strip goes into or out of its guidance channel (a fitting at the top of the fridge) and it invariably causes the right door to sort of "puff out" in response to the motion and the air pressure. It usually seats back into place in a moment, but sometimes it just stays puffed out, and you could easily forget it's open just enough that the door alarm won't sound. However, the biggest problem is just the noise this unit makes when the compressor is running. I realize refrigerators always make some sound when cooling, but this fridge's droning hum is louder than anything I have heard in a lifetime of being around refrigerators--which should be getting quieter over the years as technology improves! America should be making best-in-class appliances. This one strikes me as quite average, with multiple fixable design problems that Whirlpool simply doesn't see a need to address.

I am very impressed with my new whirlpool I am very impressed with my new Whirlpool french door bottom mount refrigerator. it's capacity for making ice is four times what my old French door bottom mount Samsung refrigerator was. Everything about the refrigerator seems so much more solid and so much I especially like the feature where I can remove the water filter and still get water and ice in my fridge due to my reverse osmosis filtration system for my house better built

This appliance did not WORK!! When delivered and plugged in, the temps showed 0 and 38. However, they quickly changed to 40's and could not be reset despite following manual instructions. . Dealer informed and they took it back. We are very disappointed and purchased another brand which was in stock at the dealer.

We like this product (style, etc) EXCEPT a permanent piece of the product is made out of the same styrofoam as the packing material. In removing all the packing material, we were not aware of this as the piece is not mentioned in any of the instructions and is not clearly marked. The ™repair™ company Whirlpool sent simply looked at it, even though we had sent very clear photos and explanation in advance, and has not contacted us since then.

Bought and had delivered about a month ago, so no longevity tests here but the fridge has been pretty good. We replaced a 21 year old Kenmore top freezer and I don't expect this one to last as long but I hope it does. The fridge was kind of loud when we first got it, not scary loud but worried loud (if that makes sense) but it was just the compressor settling in and the ice maker going non-stop.
The internal water dispenser works great, it has a good pressure but it doesn't spray out or anything. You can use it with only one door open but it's kinda awkward. This was the single most important feature to us as I didn't want want an exterior dispenser and it's great.
The ice maker makes great cubed ice but makes slightly too much. It's not that big of issue, sometimes as you open the freezer and pull the top tray out a piece or two of ice will fall out the backside and shoot out the front of the fridge. It's easy to shut the maker off as it has a lever switch on the side of it, so when it fills the bowl we'll just shut it off.
The shelves are nice and kind of adjustable, adjustable enough for me anyways. The fridge is also bright and you should have no issues finding anything.
All in all it's a great fridge so far and I hope it stays that way.

This replaced another Whirlpool refrigerator that was about 3 cu ft larger. I sure do miss that extra space. I do not care for the pantry drawer - must open both sides of the refrigerator to access the contents. I would prefer a separate "Meat Drawer" on the right side. Need to flip the switch on the ice maker to get it to shut off and not make any more cubes. The cubes seem a bit smaller than what the old fridge made.

Frig came with 2 big scratch's on doors,fan motor stays on and is loud.tech came out and was no help,said fan was normal.Called Whirlpool ,was no help at all,we wanted a new frig,shouldn't need repairs on a brand new frig.we've always had Whirlpool,for years,we'll not buy another one,now we have to listen to that motor all day and night.what a night mare.Whirlpool should help us!!!!

I™™m disappointed that my refrigerator came without a flip cover shelf for butter.
I HATE the divider in the freezer compartment that both limits the kinds of containers that you can put in the freezer and the usable space. The drawers are flimsy and don™™t glide smoothly. The exact same French door, bottom freezer previously made by Kenmore was a better product. It was also 35™ wide and not 33™.

This is a replacement for my Maytag. There is more room in the refrigerator part, and I love the ice in the freezer. I m in a wheelchair so it is very convenient for me. The water inside the door is a bit more challenging however. I can reach it but barely and it takes two hands to fill my glass. When I spill , if I don't get the water all cleaned up, it freezes the light switch in the freezer. Still it is very well designed with plenty of door space which again is handy for me, and I have my ice!!!!

This replaced a very similar product from another manufacturer. I love the pull-out drawer with the lifting top. It has great depth and very useful for cheeses, meats, etc.
I also like the filtered water feature inside the left hand side. I didn't want a door ice/water dispenser because it takes so much interior space. This is a good alternative for me.
It does seem noisier than my previous fridge during its normal running. I guess I'll get used to it.

I was very happy with this refrigerator. Our other refrigerator was 15 yrs old and I was never happy with the storage space inside of it. This refrigerator has a lot of room for everything- even a large turkey or ham. The freezer is also very spacious.

Several things are a disappointment.
1.The hookup for the ice maker and water was not done by the retailer who delivered the refrigerator.
Reason: They use their own stainless steel tubing and it didn't fit the hole from the last refrigerator that had
plastic tubing. Installer advised that I needed to get a plumber in to hook up the water. This after paying $1800 for this appliance. No tubing was supplied as far as I know from Whirlpool.
So now I cannot use the icemaker or the water dispenser.
2- I do not like the dairy drawer which requires opening both doors in order to open it. I whole reason you get a French door frig is so that you don't have to open both doors.
3- No butter compartment or egg holder.
4- I had a GE Profile French door frig, which ostensibly was the same size, seemed to have a much better layout inside. It had more room e.g. in the freezer area there were 3 shelves, Only 2 in the Whirlpool.
Shelves on the door are smaller & again no compartment for butter.

This is a replacement for my 14 year old, quite functional, fewer KWh, slightly larger WHIRLPOOL double door refrigerator.
This new one is less buzzy, and it has a bottom freezer, has LED temperature displays and button controls. The door storage is slightly smaller but sturdier. We did not connect the water dispenser. So much for the positive features.
We had a technician come out (under warranty) for an audible "clunk" (noise) on compressor starting-up. And, there was some ice buildup on top of the freezer door. He found no issues with this new fridge, and suggested that we follow a rigid door closure sequence (left door first, right next), and that we grab and pull the freezer door ONLY by its mid-point and nowhere else. The noise is far less frequent now, but still audible once in 2 days, or so. The ice build-up continues.
These inviolable door handling rituals seem excessive, but they are not onerous to observe. We are waiting to see if this 8 day old equipment will respond to these recommendations.

I love thuscrefridgerator. We've had it a week and Im impressed with how much I can store in the fridge and tge freezer. The icemaker was full in 24 hours, and everything is easily visible in both the refrigerator and the freezer. Im very happy with it.

This fridge works great, after having a fridge that sometimes got warm for no reason, it's a relief not to worry about it anymore. It does make a very strange creaking noise at times that doesn't make sense, but otherwise it's been great.

I had the refrigerator less than three days before the water stopped working and the fridge was freezing everything I called for a repairman and within a couple of days James came and fixed it temporarily while he ordered the part that was defective It

I™™m very happy with my new 22 cu. ft. Whirlpool French door fridge. It keeps the temperature very well, and it™™s really bright. It makes lots of ice cubes. I didn™™t think I needed the water dispenser, but now I™™m glad I have it. It would be more convenient if it were located on the right side of the fridge so that only the right, larger door would have to be opened, but that™™s a minor issue. The freezer has a lot of room. I like the light in the freezer, too. The fridge is very quiet, and I would recommend it highly.

I am very happy with my new fridge. The French doors are a fun change (although I have a pony wall that I find is limiting my use of the left smaller door). Personally, I find the water dispenser stupid and difficult to use anyway.
